CIFA Launches Stamps

The Cayman Islands Post Office in conjunction with the Cayman Islands Football Association launched first day covers of $0.30 and $0.40 CIFA stamps.

The official ceremony took place on Tuesday April 30th 2002 at 1:00 p.m. on the East Lawn of the Government Administration Building in George Town.\

The stamps are being issued in commemoration of CIFA's participation in World Cup Qualifying competitions since its affiliation with FIFA in 1992.

The Deputy Governor, HE James M. Ryan MBE, MLA, JP was in attendance along with the Minister of Sports, Dr. Frank McField and the Minister of Communication and Information Technology Hon. Linford A. Pierson. Also in attendance were

representatives of the Executive Council, The Cayman Islands Post Office and CIFA.For stamps and first day covers please contact any branch of the Cayman Islands post office.
