Registration Reminder
All CIFA club officials are advised to read the following
notice very carefully. Any questions or requests for
clarification of any points should be addressed to either
Paul Macey on 814-2653 or Kenisha Morgan at the CIFA
office.
Registration of Players
As you are aware, we are required by FIFA to specify
two registration periods. The registration periods that
have been set for the 2003-2004 season are as follows:-
- 1st registration period August 1st 2003 to August
31st 2003
- 2nd registration period January 1st 2004 to January
31st 2004
Each club that intends to participate in the men’s
league for the 2003/2004 season will be required to
file a team list with the Association by August 15th.
Failure to supply such a list will render all players
previously registered with that club available for another
club of their choosing.
Once a team list has been filed, those players named
are protected and cannot move to another club without
going through the transfer process as laid down in the
competition rules.
In accordance with the current competition rules, a
club will be allowed to register a maximum of 25 players
over the age of 21 and a further 15 that are under the
age of 21 at the time of the registration deadline.
Any player that was previously registered with a club
but that has not been included in the team list submitted
for the upcoming season is free to play for another
club of their choosing. This will not be deemed to be
a transfer.
New registration forms will only be required for players
that have not previously registered with the Association
or players that do nit have a current player ID. A new
registration form will however, be required in the event
of a transfer situation.
If you fail to provide a list to the CIFA office by
close of business on August 15th all of your players
will be effectively de-registered and allowed to play
for any club of their choosing.
It is in your best interests to ensure that you meet
this very important deadline.
