Honduran C.D. America Marathon to Visit the Cayman Islands
C.D. America Marathon at top Honduran Football Club
will visit the Cayman Islands in October 2002.
Scheduled to arrive on Friday October
18th the team has two matches scheduled with the Cayman
Islands National Football Team for Saturday the 19th
and Sunday the 20th.
A team with an outstanding record
they will surely be a handful for the CI National Team
and excellent preparation for the Gold Cup Qualifiers
in Trinidad this November.
Founded in October 1990 in Masica,
Attantida the team moved into the Major League in 1997.
Since then they have championed the league consecutively
since 1998. They have also recently taken the Championship
trophy in the local Attantida Football Tournament.
Matches are scheduled as follows:
Saturday West Bay 7:00PM Cayman vs. CD America
Sunday Truman Bodden Sports Complex 6:00 p.m.
Cayman Islands vs. CD America
Tickets will be on sale at the gates
for $10, all children under 16 free.
