Season Kick Off!

The 2003-04 football season is scheduled to kick off this Saturday September 13th at the T.E. McField “Annex” Football Field in George Town with the CIFA Foster’s National League.

This season, eleven teams have entered with – George Town SC, Scholars International, Roma United, Latinos FC, Bodden Town FC and Future FC in Zone A while Western Union FC, North Side SC, FC International, Academy SC and Sunset FC make up Zone B.

Matches are scheduled for September 13th as follows:

5:00 p.m. WU vs. NSSC Annex, GT
7:00 p.m. GTSC vs. Scholars Annex, GT

and September 14th as follows:

Time Teams Venue
4:00 p.m. FCI vs. Academy Annex, GT
6:00 p.m. Roma vs. Latinos Annex, GT
6 :00 p.m. Future vs. BTFC Ed Bush, WB

The DHL National Women’s league is scheduled for kickoff on Saturday October 4th in West Bay, following a season opener with the Women’s National Team friendly against Harbour View FC Women’s Team from Jamaica on September 27th & 28th.

This season promises to be exciting with a multitude of tournaments scheduled between September 2003 and April 2004.

The Queensgate under 14 and under 17 Youth Leagues are scheduled to kickoff in October, followed closely by the U23 National Team’s Qualifier against Grenada on October 12th and the Women’s Olympic Qualifiers December 3rd –7th.

The FA Cup Tournament is set to start on December 6th culminating on Ash Wednesday, February 25th with the finals at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex. A New Cup Competition is also being planned and is scheduled to commence on the second weekend in February. CIFA invites all of Cayman to come out over our 33 week long season and support our men, women and youth as they display talent and skill on the field.
