Money Express - 2005/06 Digicel Cayman Cup Champions

When the dust settled at the George Town Annex yesterday it was Money Express who once again walked away champions. After whipping George Town Sports Club two goals to nil at the end of ninety minutes Money Express’ management and players were in high spirits.

“We are the best – there is no other team on the island that can beat us this year,” said Mr. Atheston Watts Team Manager for Money Express. “This is just the first of three cups we plan to win this season.”

Both goals were scored by Cayman Airways Player of the Month for November and match MVP Sheldon Hoppins in the 23rd and 30th minutes. Money Express’ defence was just too much for George Town SC to handle so the challenge went unanswered. 

In addition to an iridescent Italian gold cup and medals, the winners were awarded a cheque for

CI$1,500.00 while the runners up were awarded silver medals and CI$1,000.00.
