CIFA Digicel Cayman Cup Second Round this weekend

Eight teams will face off this coming weekend as they vie for a spot in the semi-final round of the CIFA Digicel Cayman Cup.

Academy, Latinos, Sunset, George Town, Scholars International, Roma United, Money Express and FC International are scheduled for the showdown on Saturday and Sunday.

New comers Cayman Brac took a thorough 13 nil beating in their match up against Money Express while, Academy Sports Club took Tigers FC down 6 goals to 4 and Sunset FC locked East End United out 3 goals to 1 during last Saturday's matches.

On Sunday FC International walked away from their match up victors with a 5/2 goal difference over opponents North Side SC, while George Town Sports Club beat West Bay's young team Future FC 1 nil.   Roma United closed out the first round taking down Bodden Town 1 nil during extra time.

At the end of the day a total of 36 goals were scored in just the first six matches of what promises to be an exciting cup tournament.

The draw for the second round scheduled to kick off on January 14 th and 15 th , this coming Saturday and Sunday, yielded the following results:

Academy Sports Club will take on Latinos FC

Sunset FC has been paired with George Town Sports Club

Scholars International will face off with FC International

And Roma United will play arch rivals Money Express

Matches are scheduled for the North Side, Bodden Town and East End football fields on Saturday January 14 th and Sunday January 15 th . All matches are scheduled for kick-off at 3:00 p.m.
