CIFA Digicel Cayman Cup Semi-final 1 st Round Ends at aDraw
By Kenisha Morgan

The much anticipated first round of the CIFA Digicel Cayman Cup semi-final came to a close this Sunday with both matches at a draw.

Money Express and Latinos tied 3 all while, George Town SC and FC International finished up the afternoon with a 1 all draw. This just means that all four teams will have to work doubly hard on Saturday February 18 th and Sunday February 19 th to secure their spots in the Ash Wednesday Grand Finale.

Despite the overcast conditions and chilly winds hundreds of fans turned out to witness their favorite teams in action. Though some may have been disappointed at the final results they still had a good time cheering, snacking on tit bits from the concession stand and sipping on fish tea obtained from a stand across the road.

At the end of the day one lucky fan walked away with a free Nokia 1600 mobile phone, courtesy of tournament Sponsors Digicel. The second winner who held ticket number 662165 went home early and wasn't on hand to collect their prize.

CIFA invites that lucky individual, providing they still have their portion of the ticket, to drop by the CIFA office and collect their Motorola V555 mobile phone. Otherwise the phone will be drawn, along with two others, during the semi-final second round.

The second round semi-final leg of the CIFA Digicel Cayman Cup is scheduled as follows:

Money Express players (green) and Latinos players (blue & white) put up a strong fight during Sunday's CIFA Digicel Cayman Cup Semi Finals. Scorers for Money Express were Charles Rowe (2 goals) and Sheldon Hoppins (1 Goal), while Allean Grant, Nemroy Forbes, and Romel Raudales, scored for Latinos FC. The scorers for the GTSC vs. FCI match were Michael Wilks and Gary Whittaker respectively.
