Sunset FC's Tanya Chapman voted CIFA Caytech Player of the Week

28 year-old left outside midfielder Tanya Chapman of Sunset FC was unanimously voted CIFA Caytech Player of the Week for the week of November 19 th to 25 th, 2006. Ms. Chapman scored three goals versus Scholars International on November 25 th.

Tanya started playing with Sunset FC two seasons ago, and has scored four goals this season, which makes her the second top scorer in the 2006/2007 CIFA Caytech Women’s League. Mr. Alan Purvis, representative for Sunset FC, remarked that “ Tanya is an exceptional player and a very important member of our team.  Her work rate and commitment are second to none and she has excellent natural ability, with her close control and dribbling skills one of her greatest assets.  She has captained the Sunset team on two occasions this season and she has led by example.  She is currently our top scorer with four goals and is a pleasure to coach.  She is also well respected with her team mates and has a fun and energetic approach to training.  She simply loves the game!”.

Tanya was born in Canada and has been living in the Cayman Islands for the past 2 1/2 years. She is currently employed as a Paralegal for Appleby Hunter Bailhache. Her hobbies are football, jogging, volleyball and water sports.
