Admiral Administration Ltd. Sponsor’s Under 17 Youth League
by Kenisha Morgan
Admiral Administration Ltd., a leading Cayman Islands Investment
Fund Administrator, has joined forces with the Cayman Islands
Football Association to sponsor the Under 17 Youth League.
The league, which was reduced to two and a half months after
hurricane Ivan disrupted the original kick off date in October
2004, has now adopted ‘CIFA Admiral Youth League’ as
its official name.
Admiral Administration Ltd. which, is one of the largest
independent fund administration firms in the Cayman Islands,
serving over 150 investment funds, will contribute a total
of US$35,000 over the next four years to youth football.
At a recent press conference the first US $5,000 was presented
By Admiral’s General Manager Canover Watson to CIFA
President Jeffrey Webb to cover the 2005 reduced season.
The remaining US$30,000 will be given as US$10,000 contributions
over the next three years.
Canover Watson, Admiral Administration Ltd’s General
Manager says this is the greatest investment his company
could make in the Cayman community. “We’ve
made a significant investment in the Cayman Islands, but
we feel that the greatest investment we can make is in our
youth. The under 17 league is probably one of the most important
leagues to sponsor. During this difficult stage of transition
for our young people, investments in our community such as
this provides a positive outlet that benefits us all long
after the field of play. We are very excited about this partnership
with CIFA to help provide a positive platform for our young
people to grow. I encourage everyone to come out and support
our youth – it is the greatest investment we will ever
make.”
CIFA President Jeffrey Webb thought this was a perfect example
of young Caymanians giving back to their community and encouraged
more Caymanians who influence the decision in how marketing
dollars are spent to make the effort to give back to our
youth.
“The youth are our future, and it is our goal
to use every opportunity we are offered to invest in that
future. There are very passionate and very talented young
footballers living in these Islands. It’s our responsibility
to nurture that passion and help fuel that energy into something
that can offer solid educational opportunities for them in
the future,” said CIFA President Jeffrey Webb. He went
on to welcome Admiral Administration Ltd. on board and extend
CIFA’s sincerest gratitude to them for making “…a
most worthwhile investment in Cayman’s youth.”
CIFA Admiral Youth League matches are scheduled weekly on
Monday’s, Thursday’s and some Friday’s.
