Naya toppled FC International 2-1 on Thursday in the U-14 League at the George Hicks School field.
Naya senior teams maybe struggling, but head coach Robin Dalton has found himself a winning squad. His U-14 team has a clean 4-0 record - something that he is pleased about. Both Naya and FC International mounted equally impressive offence attacks and counters during the first half. However the 0-0 scoreline was not broken until the second stanza. In the 40th minute Naya's Mitchell Wright found the net. Wright collected a cross from Pete Iton from the right. Then he made a well-timed run and. using a side-instep-kick, Wright placed the ball past FC's keeper.

Shortly after that FC equalised when Naya's defender Leon Myles took too long to clear the ball. The defensive blunder gave David Bodden Jr. the opening he needed to score. With the score at 1-1 both squads were feeling the pressure and it was FC that caved, fouling Christie. Young Christie was taking the ball into the 18-yard box. The FC defenders stripped him of the ball. Christie rechallenged but the FC defender answered too aggressively, knocking him flat in the box. The referee awarded Naya with a penalty which Carlos Ebanks converted from the spot in the 71st minute.

The game ended 2-1 with Naya having the edge.
