The Cayman Islands Football Association will be running a Senior League competition targeting the thirty-five and forty-five year old football fanatics on the island during the off-season and before the start of the 2010-2011 season.

The competition is set to kick off on July 1, and all interested parties should contact the CIFA office by June 15.

To be qualified for the thirty-five year old competition, each player must be thirty-five or over on July 1, 2010 and for the forty-five year olds, each player must be forty-five or over on July 1, 2010.

A maximum of five players already registered with the CIFA Premier League can be registered as part of a squad but only three can be on the field of play at any one time. A minimum of eighteen players should be registered as part of the squad; however, there is no maximum.

All players are required to complete a registration form and provide evidence of age.  They can also be registered at anytime providing a completed registration form and evidence of age is given to the referee before the start of the game.

Unlimited substitutions will be allowed and players who have been substituted may re-enter the field. CIFA Disciplinary rules will apply in all situations and the entry fee is $250 per team.

For the over 35’s the matches will be the usual 45 minutes per half but for the older guys over 45 the matches will be 40 minutes each half.
